Friends of MAPR-LA are invited to attend the Los Alamos premiere of the film "Richland" by director/producer Irene Lusztig and producer Sara Archambault on Thursday August 8, 2024 in the Pajarito Room of Fuller Lodge at 2132 Central Ave, Los Alamos, NM. Doors open about 6 pm with film showing from 6:30 pm-8:00 pm. A commemoration and reflection on the 79th anniversary of the atomic bombings of Japan in 1945 will begin after the movie in the Memorial Rose Garden outside Fuller Lodge as part of the NPS's “Days of Peace and Remembrance" national events.
A second showing will be on Friday August 9, 2024 at the Los Alamos Little Theater (1670 Nectar St) with doors opening at about 6 pm with film showing from 6:30 pm-8:00 pm. A Q&A session with Irene Lusztig will follow the screening from 8-9 pm.
The film screenings and Irene Lusztig's Artist-in-Residence program throughout the month of August is co-sponsored by the Los Alamos Arts Council and the NPS.
